I have spent over 20 years learning about children through the lens of a school social worker, school administrator, and, the hardest of all...a mom. So far, my biggest take away as an educator, is that parents are all on the same crazy, terrifying, amazing journey, just doing our best  to raise good and happy humans. And now I get to write our stories so that we can all feel a little bit less alone as we try to figure out how to be the parents we strive to be while still holding on to that piece of ourselves that got us excited to get out of bed long before we were called Mom or Dad.
